![]() It has been nearly two years since my last review of RUMlog, and I wanted to update it a bit. ![]() Now at version 5.3.8, RUMlog continues to perform perfectly as my day-to-day logger on OS X. LoTW and eQSL support is smooth and easy to setup. RUMlog's support for ClubLog is outstanding as well. Support for my K3 is unmatched on the OS X platform, with RUMlog providing support for all features of the K3 through a dedicated K3 control screen as well as using the K3 keyer to send CW. Some of the reasons for my choice: better UI for me including good ability to open and position multiple windows on-screen, broader real-time logging of QSOs, easier configuration, better MacOS integration (scriptable), great support for questions and issues (I think support is one of the things I am paying). Linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu 18.04 圆4), and macOS 10.14 Mojave and higher. Basic logging features are included for the higher bands up to 1.2 cm and for satellite. like SDC (with its own Skimmer), LogHX, SWISSLOG and RUMlog, more are coming. I have tried 4-5 attempts in the Mac OS-X world of coming close to DX4WIN solutions and most of the Mac programs while very nice and have excellent support (Maclogger by DogPark has some great features) none of them do a nice a job on DXCC and report summary generation as RUM log. RUMlogNG is a HAM radio logging, QSL handling and printing tool, especially made for the short wave DXer, made by a DXer. K3GO Rating: Excellent package WITH Logging reports, DXCC Summary Time Owned: 0 to 3 months. Finally, RUMlog continues to provide the best integration with Fldigi available on OS X. MacHamRadio Logging, OS X, RUMlogNG Tom Lindner (DL2RUM) has released v5.12.1 of RUMlogNG for direct download or via the App Store. This is worth $$$ for me, but fortunately RUMlog is still free!įull support for Fldigi's XML-RPC protocol allows RUMlog and Fldigi to share frequency/call/mode information and RUMlog's auto-import of the Fldigi logs means that your digital mode QSOs can be logged in Fldigi without having to manually log them in RUMlog as well. Written by a DXer for DXers, RUMlog continues to meet and exceed all of my expectations and I recommend it to any serious DXer on OS X. ![]() Getting WSJT-X running on a Mac takes a few extra steps. I have a previous post on this, Icom 7300 WSJT-X Using DXLab Suite Commander, JT Bridge And RUMLogNG. ![]() Since Tom has been busy making improvements in RUMlog I decided to do another update. Before using this you’ll have to install WSJT-X. ![]()
